Auntie's Birthday - Pink Rose Chocolate Cake

Today is my Auntie's birthday. She always like something that is romantic, girly, and beautiful looking.
I decided to make a chocolate cake that is covered with stunning pink roses.
I love to make layer cakes but didn't get many chances to do it as my family like the mousse kind of cake. And they like the silky chiffon cake better than pound cake that has firm texture.

Chocolate cake recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 350g butter
  • 225g sugar
  • 320g cake flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 25g almond flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 105ml milk
  • 9ml Rum
  • 5ml Vanilla extract
  • 30g Semi-Sweet chocolate
Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F
  2. Combine butter and sugar in the large mixing bowl and beat until fluffy and pale.
  3. add the eggs to the mixing bowl, one at a time
  4. Sift the cake flour, cocoa powder, baking powder together, and add to the mixing bowl little by little, beat until the all ingredients are combined.
  5. add milk, rum, and vanilla extract, stir to combine.
  6. add melt semi-sweet chocolate to the batter,  and beat until the batter it's smooth.
  7. Pour the batter into the pan and put the pan in the oven and bake for 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center and comes out clean
