Tiramisu (w. Italian meringue)

Friday was my mother-in-law's birthday. I made tiramisu for her and everyone in our family liked it.

There are a few versions of tiramisu. I had made the version with custard before, but I thought that version was too creamy, the flavor was too rich for me. I used the italian meringue version this time and I love it. Instead of ladyfinger, I used chiffon cake for the layers. For the liquor, I use Starbuck's coffee liquor. I've heard that some bakers use Marsala, kahlua, rum, or brandy which is more authentic Italian. I think different liquor will result in different taste. I might try a different liquor next time. However, I am very satisfied with this one :)
