Pirate Themed cookies and cake

A friend of mine asked me to make some pirate cookies and a cake for her son's birthday. 

I've never made that many cookies before, but I am so happy that she trusted me. 

I got the decorating idea of the cookies from SWEET SUGAR BELLE. 

I am new to cookie decorating and I found many helpful ideas from this website :) 

For the cake, my friend requested a mousse cake with purple potato. In order to match the cake with the cookies, I used Fat Daddio's hemisphere cake pan. After the mousse was set, I then removed the cake and decorated it with whipped cream.
